Overview
CDW (Cold Drawn Welded) Precision Tubes are high-accuracy steel tubes manufactured for applications requiring tight dimensional tolerances, smooth surface finish, and superior mechanical properties.
Produced through controlled cold drawing processes, these tubes are widely used in automotive, hydraulic, engineering, and structural applications where precision and strength are critical.
Also commonly referred to as Precision ERW Tubes, these products offer improved concentricity, uniform wall thickness, and enhanced finish compared to conventional ERW pipes.
Manufacturing Process
CDW Precision Tubes are manufactured through a multi-stage process:
High-quality ERW tubes are selected as mother tubes.
Tubes undergo pickling and phosphating to prepare the surface.
Cold drawing is performed through dies to achieve required dimensions.
Multiple drawing passes may be used for tighter tolerances.
Tubes are heat treated (annealed / normalized) as required.
Final straightening and finishing ensure dimensional precision.
This process enhances surface finish, mechanical strength, and dimensional accuracy.
