Overview
PLB (Pre-Lubricated Duct) Pipes are specialized HDPE ducts designed for underground optical fiber cable (OFC) installations.
These ducts are manufactured with a permanently lubricated inner surface, reducing friction during cable blowing and ensuring faster, safer cable installation. PLB ducts are widely used in telecom, broadband, and infrastructure projects.
Manufacturing Process
PLB ducts are manufactured using advanced extrusion and co-extrusion technology:
High-quality HDPE compound (PE 80 / PE 100) is processed.
Multi-layer extrusion forms the duct structure.
The inner surface is permanently silicon-coated during manufacturing.
Controlled cooling ensures dimensional stability.
Ducts are coiled and tested for mechanical performance.
This ensures durability and smooth cable insertion.
